What does the top of it look like? Does it have all of the factory holes on the drivers side?

The unit is a reproduction of the original - see photographs in the posts.

My dash has 2 or 3 perfect cracks in it. It also has one of those carpet dash mat thingies that has faded by the sun perfectly. :P

Can someone tell me the site where I can find that dash? All I've been able to find online is the dash cap on ebay. It's basically a plastic dashmat for the top only.

The guy went bankrupt or something. I think he sold the business to some other guys who decided it wasn't worth their time to make the LUV dashboards anymore. The dash the dashboard restorations guy made didn't fit quite right and before he could iron out the bugs, he vanished. I think he sold the business to some other guys who decided it wasn't worth their time to make the LUV dashboards anymore. It's been a while. 7 years now since this topic was started.

Some other guys around here were trying to make some out of fiberglass, but nobody has completed one yet.

Yeah..those are all long gone. I just put a dash cap on mine and then covered it with a dashpad to match my interior. It looks fine - and that's about the best you can do with an old cracked up Luv dash IMHO. I did get an estimate from one shop around here that does a lot of old car/truck interior restoration work a long time ago - but since I'm not Donald Trump - I quickly decided to not go that route.

Well that sucks...

I guess a dashcap will work except for the giant crack on the front by the glovebox.

Has anyone tried restoring their own dash as far as sealing the cracks and maybe re-upholstering it?

Many tried, and the talking has been done, the action is much harder then it looks. If you could figure it out you could make a few dollars. I was able to buy the second to last one and am very happy with it.
