I have a chevy luv, I have a rebuilt 231 buick v6 in it. I have the Holley aluminum heads, Holley Aluminum intake, Holley carb, Headers, B&M Shifter, Flat top forged pistons, etc. Even Holley valve covers and breather!

I got this truck from a friend just like this, the rebuild and the holley parts arent BRAND NEW but close enough. There is no rust to be found! Its all down in primer and the interior needs a bit to be finished nicely. I dont know much about chevy luv's just getting into them.

I dont even know the year of my truck. Somewhere between 75-79

Welcome to the site!!! sounds like you got a great deal on your truck. I would think the 231 would be a great motor for street action, but perhaps a not for the strip. Please someone correct me if i am wrong.***EDIT****The motor is a good one, you can get lots of power and it's a good match for the LUV. I think "blue meanie" would be a good person on this setup.*** As for the year of your truck, your vin number can give you a clue. look for the 6th digit and it should give ya a year...
