When to my local junk yard to day looking for a better interior light than that little one that came with the luv. they had this mikado there it had a V6 with automatic trans. the place said it was a ford 2.8 with a C4 transmission they said every thing was in working shape. price wise they wanted 325 for engine and 450 for every thing . they would pull it for me. now getting back to the interrior light has anybody changed that over and which one would they recommend

Wally-world (wal-mart) sells a universal one that might fit in that hole, or may need allittle trim to fit the light in the stock hole...

but I put neons inside.. they're much better.... :D
I've got them and i've ask my neighbor (he's a cop in High point NC) and he said as long as the lights you have don't look like the little blue cylender lights or the ones that cops have on there dashes then they're ok... and under-glo is ok to just as long as you don't look and drive like a ragin' copper...

I'm going to eventually put a 20'' neon bar over that hole...(if i can get a patch or something for where the light was) and rig it up to the switch that i have for my LED/neons already in my cab.

no not really, i got mine from advance auto, but instead of pluggin' it into my cigarette lighter (which has so much rust in it i couldn't get power to the neon to see if it worked ok) i cut the wires and looked up in the instructions on how to mount the neon and it listed which wire was (+) or (-) so i bought a switch too, a inline fuse and wired it up from my battery-->fuse-->switch-->neon--> ground to cab wall(but also run the ground from the switch as well). it was pretty simple, unless you count how many times my connectors on the switch kept on fallin' off (fixed it though...) I was very happy with the end result just don't drill through your roof' mind you (the area the light is mounted to is however)... your truck will be a fish tank really quick...

but i had to take mine out and the tube had a crack in it anyways... and 1 of 4 of my LED bars are working... just a loose connection at least
