If they did build a new luv, it would most likely look like an Aztec with a bed. Butt ugly!

I drive a dakota 5.9 and they're not really that fast and chevy's new SS hopefully should be faster than mine....hmmmm... maybe we should start contacting GM engineers and convince to make a LUV (retro styled of course) and maybe drop that 502 crate motor in it  and if they wont use the 502 I guess a 5.7 would have to do

I had a buddy who had a dakota with the smaller v8. (4.7???) It was pretty slick. The thing about the 5.9's is they're alot heavier, but only make like 20 more horsepower. Dodge didn't really think that all the way through, I guess.

There is a new model LUV out there. Chevy only sells it in foreign countries.

I found this just the other day:

http://www.medlab-group.com/misc/chevrolet-luv/index.htm
also same info at:

http://www.chevrolet-luv.cjb.net/

I think I'll stick with my 79, but I wonder if one of those 3.1L diesels would bolt right up... ;) :P

Looks like a typical isuzu truck. no way they can bring back the unique style of the little chevy luv truck.
