There's no such thing as too much horsepower. :)

Seriously though, smog laws aside, it's up to you how much power you want to make. I've ridden in a low 10 second LUV that was also totally streetable. In other words, you could cruise it around to get groceries or whatever you wanted. Then on the way home, open the bottle and nail the throttle and your pinned to the seat like a fly on flypaper as you accelerate towards the speed of sound.

i used to work with a guy a couple years ago that told me oklahoma has a limit on HP, but i think he was full of it. He said it was around the 900 range though. He also tried to tell me that he had a monte carlo that was making about 850 hp and one day he got pulled over, then cop made him take it to a dyno that the county uses for that purpose. he's one of those ppl that never shut up....enough remenissing..it gets me irratated thinkin about it

horsepower limit is equal to the amount of money that used to be in your bank account after emptying it into the luv.......

And lets not forget the limit of the plastic in the pocket. Seriously if you get a bunch of power remember power + posi + wet roads = caution! And if you add huge tires it = extreme caution! So pay attenion to the weather and select the day you drive it carefully. On a dry warm day there is no such thing as a truck too fast!

That guy that said Oklahoma had a horsepower limit had to have been full of it. If his buddy had a monte carlo that was making 850 horsepower, I can't see him actually driving it on the street. I mean, for him to get pulled over in the first place, he would have had to have his foot in it, and then he'd be measuring his economy in gallons per mile.

I hate people like that. They don't have any real war stories, so they gotta make some up.
