I need someone who has a book, or knows where there is info on which heads came on which motors and what not. I'm curious what kind of car my heads were originally in.

They are a set of "camel humps" 2.02/1.60 valves, and they are 291 castings. I think they are from 1968-1970. If anyone know what they might have come on, please let me know. Thanks

Also, I have never heard anything about the 291's, are they good heads, They have the big valves, and decent combustion chambers, 64cc. Does anyone know how they flow, are they decent power heads?

Thanks

nope there junk i`ll buy them from you for 5 bucks. kidding man yea those are pretty good heads don`t remember the years they came on. but were available in 64 thru 68 cc chambers and i think mainly 194 valves. theyve probably had enough valve jobs done that they had to go to 2.02. as far as the chambers just inconsistencies in production. the 461 and 461x are the more popular versions the x heads i think the intake port was 10 cc larger.

291's are the straight plug version of the 292 "turbo" heads which is one of the most highly sought after factory Chevy head. they are good castings.

The link doesn't work, but thanks anyways.

Thanks for the info, I just wanted to make sure I didn't get some junk. I knew they were still better than the ones I had, so I was happy either way, since I got them for $300 with a bunch of aftermarket upgrades.
