I just bought my 1980 chevy luv a few weeks ago. It was missing a front grill. i ordered a repalcement from JCWhitney and installed it. The grill mounts up fine but there is a 3 inch space from the top of grill to the hood.Does anyone out there have any experience replacing the grill or will I need the original?

did you get the chrome one or the orig.theres going to about 1 inch from the hood.do you have the chrome molding on the hood?

The replacement grill is siver and chome. The hood has no molding on it.

thats why it's a big gap.did you have to cut anything for it to fit?jc whitney said you had to modify it.

The grill I ordered was for the 78-80 luv. I called jc whitney they said that It should fit with no modications. Its mount up fine to the original hole but ther is a huge gap.

The LUV grille from Jc whitney.... does it have the bowtie on the front? What did you guys think of it, those that have seen it? Does it look original?

not sure about the bowtie but i should have mine on tuesday.ordered through ebay for 60 bucks.

Dude, you didn't post a pic of the grill or tell me what its like! Could you do that when you get a chance?

do you see the picture?a couple of guys told me i had no picture.i haven't put it on yet.i taking off to cincinnati now so i'll post pics if i can get to a computer.it has no bowtie.round tube and very shiny.it's going to look good on my truck
