Ok, my buddy has a little Buick 215 V8. Its all aluminum, really light and alright on power, I think he said its about 230 hp. It has a Super T-10 tranny with it (which will probably go in my Nova). It is much smaller than a SBC, so it looks like an easy swap for a LUV. The only thing is, I don't know much about them. Are they good motors? Reliable? Are parts readily available? and is there potential for more horsepower. I was thinking about swapping this into my 4x4 and trying to adapt it to a toyota transmission, if possible. The price is right, I can get motor and trans for $300, and it runs really good. He had it in a Vega wagon that got wrecked.

Any thoughts? A worthwhile swap?

i thought about this swap myself. this engine was used in early '60's olds and buicks, most notably the jetfire with turbo. They were later used in the V-8 MG's and then Land Rovers. They are a bit hard to get parts for, but with some searching you can even find factory fuel injection for them. this would be a different swap, but the tradeoff is parts availability.
