Man its gettin crazy here. Weve gotten predictions of up to a foot of snow around here within the next 24 hours and my wifes employer closed up for the day. Im sure mine will too. Id be drivin to work when its supposed to be the worst today. Kids are stayin home from school of course and I cant even open the door to the garage that my luv is in. We havent had a snow fall like this for a couple years. It does give me a chance to play in the snow with the kids though so thats cool.

The weather is going crazy all over. Here in Las Vegas, we have been getting so much rain within the last month, we have been breaking records almost every day. All of this during what is supposed to be the worst drought in history! Some friends of mine way down south in San Antonio Texas were telling me they are getting snow flurries. Well, I preffer the cold over the heat. As I say, you can always put more clothes on to stay warm, but when it's hot, you can only take so much clothing off and you stay hot.

So Im assuming that where theres 7ft of snow is just in the mountains. I remember a time when I was maybe 6-8 years old we got two or three feet of snow . The front of the house was drifted to the rook. Thats the most Ive ever seen.

Not sure if I can put enough clothes on here.. had highs of 7 and lows of 25 below zero, not counting the wind chill.. 8O

We hit a low last night of -36* last night here. Wind chill dipped it down into the -50* mark. Supposed to reach a high of -8* today!!! :D :D :D

(I converted all them temps from C to F for you guys) :)

Gots about a foot of snow on the ground too.

Ok dels78 and smokinLUV, I stand corrected on putting enough clothes on. I am going outside to enjoy my +38 degree weather!!!! What are your first names? Frosty and iceberg? jeez. I'm getting chills just thinking about the temperature (or lack thereof over there).

They keep taunting us with snow predictions here this week. Monday it was "maybe a foot, maybe just some flurries". Now its looking more like "some of the rain may look sorta sticky". I'm not hoping for the inch thick coating of ice we got last year, just a little snow to play around in. Is that too much to ask?

I have to say, -F temps are something I don't care to try. Anything that is cold enough to freeze bits of me off in minutes is too cold for my taste. I can handle most anything Oregon weather dishes out, but that kind of cold is a bit much. Hope you all keep warm and I'll be thinking about ya when I'm outside in the tropical 40F highs around here. ;)

Here on the Texas Gulf Coast, we got 6-8 inches of snow overnight on Christmas Eve/ Day. First major snowfall in the area in 105 years, & that was less than 4 1/2". I have pictures of the snow in palm trees- thats just odd. :?
