Used to drive cars from dealership to auction with a couple other guys and we would "bump" each other while driving. Sometimes at stop lights and others at speed. Then they invented air bags :x Sumbitches. We had fun on exit and entry ramps also. Two and sometimes three wide. And the best was setting the cruise and hopping into the passenger seat and steering with your left arm low enough to keep it out of veiw. And you had to do it at slower speeds so that people would pass you and freak out. Then there was a time when I was driving across a fair ground parking lot and jumping the rows because the dirt was raised up between the rows. That happened to be the Escort I threw the rod in that I mentioned in the other post. There were two other guys in the car and they couldnt stop laughing. It just still amazes me that after all this time and all this crazy stuff, Ive never been fired from any job. So you all just remember to test drive every car you want to buy and pay damn close attention when youre doing so. Cause Im sure theres more idiots out there like me.

Ahh you have me thinkin back to my days at T&C as a "Courtesy driver" picking up cars and dropping them off. I always had to conrtol my face when I'd drop off a car and they would ask "So how's it running?" :D

I had a friend who would get a rental cars like once a month. He bought a new truck and it was a POS so he would end up with a rental all the time while they fixed his truck. Anyway... Experienced some major car abuse during that year. I almost feel guilty about some of it. :)

One time he drove all the way from our starting point to our destination with his foot all the way to the floor, using the brakes to stop us at each stop sign and red light. By the time we got to our destination, the torque converter was boiling the fluid inside and the brakes were a bright red. Poor car.

We all went to the store in a Grand Am he was renting. One by one as we got in the car, we would pull the door shut with both hands on the door handle and yank as hard as possible. I actually shut the door hard enough that the window blew up! When he took it back he told them that someone tried to break into it.

Lots of other little things that were fricken hilarious at the time. Not sure how funny they were now that I think back, but anyway...

- drive down the road with the ebrake on, dragging the back tires

- "start" the car when it's already running

- "miss" driveways and drive up curbs into parking lots

- "accidentally" turn too soon and nail the curb with the back inside tire in a turn

- mash the gas to the floor, and then gently put the car in drive after the engine is pegged against the rev limiter

- put the car in reverse while going 55mph (not too exciting in most cars)

- jump RR tracks

- jump RR tracks with the car full of 5 people

- when leaving a store, go FORWARD into the parking space and over the curb stop when you leave

- drive on the freeway in the lowest gear you can without hitting the rev limiter, for extended periods of time, or until the "service engine soon" light comes on, whichever comes first

- research the max MPH possible in each gear, one at a time

- race anyone who is willing, no matter what they are driving or how even the odds are

- powerbrake until the cows come home, or until you pop the tire, whichever comes first

- put on the doughnut spare tire and powerbrake some more

The list goes on.

After a couple months I was convinced that my friend should be a test driver for cars and put them through an 'endurance' test. I was amazed at how he managed to constantly think of ways to drive wrong. LOL!

yeah I have been known to take advantage of rental cars, but not as much as ben....lol

some would argue this is the reason rental car prices are so high.

oh well....rental guys just cringe at the possibility of johnny knoxville renting a car.

This is without a doubt......THE most hilarious thread I've seen on this site :!:
I LUV it

Reminds me of some of the crazy things my brother and I used to do.I have always been big on test driving cars at lil ol el cheapo car lots. One time my brother and I took this big ol Olds Delta 88 and went out to this place in the boonies that has lil trails for where we rode motorcycles, lots of hills there. We jumped that car so hard the bellhousing on the trans broke and we were like "Ut oh, how do we explain this one to Mr car dealer"? 8O

We had a good samaritan tow us back into town about a block away from the car dealer (by that time ALL the trans fluid was done leaking out of the car) and we pushed it back up on the lot and told the guy it ran outta gas jus down the street.......

Wow. I truely am not alone. Last night I took about 3000 miles off a set of S-10 tires. There was alot of smoke and the wind blew it right past the showroom. Needless to say all the salespeople came back asking what I was burning. Uuuum, nothing. Only one of them knew what the smoke was and Im on his good side thankfully.

Another one of my amazing stunts was this:

Back in about 1981 when I was in Boise (and driving brand new Luvs for the parks dept) hadda '65 buick Wildcat, had E-brake hooked up to only the right rear wheel. when I slammed that e-brake on that car would instantly spin in circles like a top.

In grocery store parking lots at speeds of 20 to 35 mph, it was a very kool thing to do 8) ......but once , tried it at like 55 mph......scared the crap out of me,never knew something so big and heavy could spin around sooooooooooo fast . let me tell ya ..55 mph in CIRCLES seems much faster than just driving down the road 8O 8O :shocked!:

bah.... God invented rental cars so everyone would have a chance to have some fun... I think anyone who's ever rented a car has at the least romped on it a time or two. It may not be funny, but it is the truth.

Lesson 1:Never buy a rental car.

ok heres one of my stories:

i have a buddy that changes cars about as often as i change shirts...seriously this dude will trade/swap/sell/buy damn near anything...i never know wha the hell he will be driving

well he got ahold of a decent 85 T/A once...sweet car. 350 and someone had swapped in a 4spd  ...we took it out cruising one night and stopped for gas. i pumped while he went and paid. well since he was takin forever (hittin on the girl at the counter  ) i pulled the car up next to the door....he came out and was like "no..get out...you aint driving" ..."awww shut up and get in"...he got in and i carefully pulled away onto the street....after i seen there wasnt nothing coming i said "hey wanna go back to the house for a bit?" ..he said sure...turn around up here"....NAH!!!.....dropped it in first...cut the wheel and nailed it to the floor....BAM! instant 180* U-turn   ....at this time he is flying all over the place in the seat...cussing up a storm..."HOLY SHIT!!!! ...i just got this thing"....LOL....he still let me drive it the rest of the way home.

out on my buddy's back 40 we have a old toyota 4wd frame with the front of an older toyota corolla and the rear of an old honda cvcc welded together. we've rolled this thing countless times as well as end over end tumbling. it has a permanent set of chains and low tires... it'll pretty much go anywhere.

the point is he bought the truck from one of the small time car dealers a few years ago for 50 bucks..... it was a loaner. the kid that it was loaned to last rolled it down an embankment less than a block from the dealers.

I got this 88 Trooper 2 years ago for $330! Needed a cylinder head, but it was cosmetically perfect!!! Not a scratch on it inside or out, so after I get it running and show it off, we decide to see what it'll do! Going down the highway I don't even remember how fast, overdrive wouldn't work(coolant temp. operated!) so it was running about 4000 or 4500 RPM's! Get to the stoplight and I see a trail of smoke from behind me! Found out it WAS me! Blew the piston rings a week after I put a new head on it! Spent the next 10 months putting this poor Trooper through living hell!!! Almost flipped it on and off the road countless times, brokedown temporarily a few times, and basically beat the living snot out of it both on and off road! Jumping this, going around gates that were intended to keep us out(I love the narrowness of the Trooper!) Only good thing about it was it would climb a hill like a mule! Started to have vapor lock problems near the end of my ownership of the Trooper, so we just beat it even harder off road!!! Last time I had it on the trails I swear we were through the mudholes and jumping bumps at like 35 or 40! Surprised we (or the Trooper for that matter) even survived those days! I miss tearing up the Trooper! Farting on people with your car is the most fun and my Trooper did it so well!!! Left about a 100 foot cloud one day right before a nice backfire!!

we'll the car I beat up the most would of had to have been a 77 Ford granada I had with a 302. I paid $400 for it, it was in great shape the only problem was it had 4 doors and it was but ugly(baby shit brown). I use to run this thing thru corn fields. in and out of ditches. Railroad tracks were the most fun. The tracks around where I lived were like 2 feet higher than the rest of the road I'd hit them at like 35-40 and let that car fly. I had that car for like 2 months by the time I traded it in(to the same lot I bought it from) there wasn't a straight panel on the whole car. All the trim was missing. the bottom half was covered in undercoating(buddy of mine thought it would look better 2 toned) and had a huge crome exhaust tip(same buddy thought that would look good, funny what looks good when your drunk). It also went through about 4 qts of oil a day. Another buddy of mine worked at an oil change place I'd just go there get like a gallon of used oil and dump it in without checking it thats how bad it got. Anyway I traded it in on an 81 Monte Carlo got a whopping $75 out of it.(junk price) Most fun I've had in a car.lol
