I got my first LUV truck (78 Starside) when I was 19 and newly married.
The next one (75) when I was 28.
The last three when (76 4x4, 79 4x4, 79 Stepside) I was 40.

I have just my one project truck now at 41. I have sold off the others after I used the parts I needed on my current LUV.

I'm 59, let's see anyone beat that. When I was a wee lad cars were cool. I came home from the hospital in a '40 Ford. We were the envy of the neighborhood when my Dad came home with a new '50 Olds 88 Deluxe - wide whites, 303 ci OHV V8, 4-speed Hydramatic, tuner-bar radio, etc. 10 years later me and my friends stuffed that engine and trans in my '48 Chev. Seems that teaching 4 kids to drive really wore out the Olds!
Lots of years, cars & trucks later I decided to get out of the car hobby. The kids are grown and gone, we sold the big house and moved to an old cabin in the country. After remodeling the cabin, my wife (bless her) suggested we get a small pickup for hauling bark, brush, etc. I spotted a '79 LUV that just fit the bill - 305 V8 and all.
Now it's got a 350, no top, and it really hauls bark.

I was 4 years old when my dad bought our first LUV, and 8 when he quit driving it and told me I could have it. It sat for 5 more years before we did anything to it, and I started driving it when I was 14.

I'm 22 now

12 here.

Oh, i thought you were talking about inches........

then Im 35.

Just turned 35! LUV just turned 265,000!! WHAT A TRUCK!

26 in about 4 hours ( It's not he years it's the mileage ) 22 when I bought my LUV. Everybody laughed till they stopped to get gas three times as often. Out my little group of freind I'm the only one that hasn't blown up, broken major parts, or put it on it's lid (Yet)

i got my 1st 1 when i was 15 as well. and my second i paid for myself. so i got mine around the same tyme most of u did but i just haven't had it as long

I am 17 now but when we got the truck and started work on it 2 yrs ago i was 15.

i got my 72 luv for my 17th b-day..it costed a whopping $400..i didnt even know how to drive a 4spd so i jumped in grabbed my friend and went for a ride. That summer i worked to do the first and most important upgrade on my luv.....the tires and wheels...

i'm 19.my luv was actually my second car.my first car was a 82 mustang.fast car.had a couple extra under the hood.well i didn't have a license and no tags got pulled over and had to go to court and they wouldn't allow me my license till i was 17.got the luv about 3 months before i was able to get my license.busted my ass on her and still going to hell and back cleaning her

i turn 18 in 2 months i have 16 inch rims and tires with lo pros all the way around lowered 3 inches all the way around bucket seats a brand new 283 refreshened by me at my tech school brand new heads done by me at school as well so now all i need is a job a 5 speed transmission and a 9 inch rearend!!! i win!!

i started this post and havn't replied to it in a while. turned 17 in august own 2 luvs a 78 which is bone stock except the header and the stereo. then theres my 80 4x4 lifted 4" 15 in rims with 30.9.5 puting a 350 in with a 4 speed probably gonna build a new frame in wyotech next year.

you goin to wyotech next year?? i am too...well i havent signed all the way up yet but i am going to for sure..cool it will cool knowing someone who actually wont diss the luv

when do u start cause i start at the end of september and what classes are u goin to be taken. it will be cool to have another luv guy around.
