I think im going to need a complete new wiring kit for my truck. The people that had it before me thought they knew what they were doing but obviously had no clue :? . So now im thinking that i need to re-wire the entire truck but have no idea were to find a kit that would work. Can any one help with this?

You could go with a painless kit http://www.painlesswiring.com/ (also available at places like Eastwood, Jegs, etc) They are pricey though if you are just fixing up a stock truck. I've gone through a couple of trucks that had been rewired by some real idiots, and usually they don't manage to cut things too far back, you could just unwrap the harness and start hooking things back up the way they are supposed to be. Start with one side of the engine bay, then move to the other side, following the diagrams (in the info section of luvtruck.com) all the way. Its not easy, but in many ways its easier than yanking everything out and starting over again. A new harness will get you better wiring in the end, but its no evening project.

Or.....(and PLEASE, don't anybody think I am "pushing" my parts) I am merely throwing this out there because maybe he can't afford a NEW harness......
I have several good, complete USED wiring harnesses, and when I say complete, I mean not ONE wire has been cut 8O
It's just another option for him, and I am having a big blow-out sale right now :D 8)

ummm that looks an awful lot like a computer animation site, not a place to buy wiring harnesses...

That worked. The harnesses there are the same as the one I got. I went the ebay route. ended up being $160 including shipping. Most however are $165 + shp, for this harness. There is also another brand out there don't know how good it is or isn't. It's called "It's a Snap" they have them on ebay too...
