I don't have any pics yet, my digital camera is still packed up from when I moved. But, my father in law gave me a 1960 Baja Bug. He bought it in 1980 and fixed it up a lot over the years and then they just moved to Vancouver last month and gave it to me and my wife. Here are some of the mods:

Bus tranny
gear reduction boxes
1.25:1 rocker arms
aluminum valve covers
underdrive pulley
hotter cam
Weber carb
80mm cylinders (69mm stock)
stinger exhaust
aluminum flywheel
beefy clutch
6 pt roll cage
custom traction bars in rear
31x10.50 tires.

The thing has more ground clearance that my Jeep and it runs awesome. Only downside is that with the gearing, the top speed on the hwy is about 60mph. It'll climb anything though. I'll put some pics up soon. I can't wait to get some paddle tires and take it to the dunes, or go play in the mud somewhere.

A baja was my first car, and man I sure miss it. It had swivel seats, and fiberglass front end. Damn I used to have alot of fun in that thing

Well, I finally got all my digital camra stuff unpacked adn realized that the cord to hook the camera to my comuter is missing. It is at my mother and father in laws house in Vancouver. Before they moved and gave me the bug, we didn't have a computer, so I had to use theirs to get my pics in a computer format. Well, they moved and took the cord with them. They are going to mail it to me when they get a chance. So, no pics yet. Sorry if my typing is a little off, I'm kinda faded right now, I've drank about a 6 pack of Corona and about 2 shots of 151. Not bad for a Halloween night. You guys take care, I'll talk to you soon.

67!

It is a year all by itself. The interior was a little different, and only came like that in 67, then it changed again. If someone was really into bugs and wanted to restore one, a straight 67 would be worth some money to them.

I second that notion. Me daddy had a 67 back in the day. Header, race cam, 4bbl. Thing was a beast. If i can get ahold of the pic he showed me i'll try and get it up

Well, I got my cord back finally. Now I have to install the program, drive out to my moms house where the bug is at right now (my nova is torn apart in my garage) and take some pics of it. Maybe I'll have some up early next week.
