How do you get it off? I couldn't see any way of getting it off...

Here is a picture of what the steering wheel looks like just in case there are different ones...

If I remember right, some one correct me if I am wrong as the last time I took mine off was almost 20 years ago. 8O Disconnect your battery and then push in on the horn button (Center section) a turn it counterclockwise to unlock it with it pushed in. Then it should pop loose, disconnect the horn wire and then you should be able to see the nut holding the wheel on. Probably going to need a steering wheel puller, mine was a bear to get off and yours has been on 20 years longer than mine. Good luck

my cover was screwed on from the back of the wheel :S as for the puller, just use a rubber mallet worked for me, however if ya try and pull it off be careful as the more force you use that more it hurts when the wheel flies back at ya face

Take the large nut "" ONLY HALF WAY OFF"".

Then have someone sit in the drivers seat and pull on the wheel with both his hands AND his knees.
Now hit the BACK of the steering wheel with good firm wacks from a mallet or use a 2x4 and a hammer. DO NOT OVER DO IT

When the steering wheel flies foward(and it will) the big nut will hold it in place, and save you from any harm.

Thanks for all the help.

I was trying to fix my clutch pedal and the steering wheel was making it hard to move around, and get a good angle.

I'll have to try to pull it off tomorrow.

One question though,

Do you just put the horn back to the posisition it came off at and push it in and twist back on?

Might be easier to take the seat out rather than the steering wheel off. Plus you'll have a lot more room to work on the clutch pedal.

We were actually about ready to take the seat out, but I had to be at work in an hour so we just worked around them, and fixed the problem anyway.

thats a clean little truck there man, got any more pics ?
is that the orig dash ?

i was able to get my wheel off after about 15 minutes of pulling, just brace your feet against the firewall and pull.
if you need to do any work to the clutch save yourself the time and pull the seat. i had to replace the whole ass one time and its a pain in the ass enough just to get it around the colum. pull the seat so atleast your body isn't twisted like a pretzel trying to get it out :D
