Hello to all-

I recently bought a Series 10 factory shop manual online from shop-manual.com. The name of the site is Model Auto. The guy sells all kinds of stuff. He's located in Houston, TX. If any of you are interested in a shop manual for your LUV, you should check it out. I placed my order and had my manual within a week. It's in good shape for it's age. Anyways, just thought I'd let you know about that site.

I have a series 9 book I picked up on ebay. It was a little worn when I got it so I don't mind letting it sit on the seat while I work on the truck. The worst of my copies of Haynes gets to sit out in the rain, under the truck in a puddle or oil, wherever it is needed. ;) I also have the chilton and clymers manuals. They are all three based on the same pictures, but each one has a few little differences or more info in some area or another.

The first thing any new luv owner should get is a Haynes manual, since they are still very much available and cheap. Once you get into some of the more complex stuff, then its time to get specific with a factory shop manual matched to your year. Just FYI when looking for the right manual: 72-77 = Series 1-6, 78-82 = series 8-12. Series 7 got skipped, probably just to get the number to match the year finally.

I agree...the Haynes manual is very good for most basic things and is a must have for someone that has bought their first LUV.
