I was just thinking the same thing. . .

I was looking at the ford powered luv in the picture gallery and thinking that mopar probably felt left out. Everyone needs some luv. :P

Measure, measure and measure again. It would be something to see.

I knew one guy a while back that had a 318 in his LUV. Dare to be different I always say. When you think about a V8 powered LUV coming at ya, Dodge is a word that would tend to come to mind...

At our local drag strip one weekend, they had Mopar Days, and this fellow showed up with a luv. It had a 392 hemi in it. That motor completely filled up the engine compartment.

there used to be a Datsun 620 p/u cruising around here with a small block mopar in it. if you can put one in a Datsun 620 (tight fit) then you can definitely put one in a LUV.

A buddy of mine was toying with the idea of putting a 440 in a Luv, or a D-50, just a few weeks ago. He had a '69 Coronet that was pushin between 500 - 600 horses. I know, I talked to the machine shop about his set-up. Imagine that hp in a truck that weighs half as much as that tank!?.
That'd be saawwweeeettt!!!!!!

He had a '68 Datsun P/u, he was gonna build, 440. But, he said it was way too small. Too much hackin.
He was gonna call it a Dodgsun.

I've never seen a Luv with a Mopar in it though....YET.

Saw this and just thought I'd drop something I jus learned a few days ago.....A guy came by my yard w a 1940 Dodge business Coupe....ON a LUV frame (he came to buy a LUV steering box from me, cause his was gettin kinda sloppy)
Anyway, under the hood of that thing sat a 360 bolted to a 727 auto trans, and i got under it an got a good look, does not appear that he had much modifying to do to get that 360 bolted to the LUV frame 8O
he did a sweet job on it, the car absolutely HAULS ASS, and he says it handles great.
he will by again soon, and when he does......i have camera waiting, and will get a few shots to throw in here.

You can fit any motor into any car. It all depends on how bad you want it in there

I think there are some motors which would defy that arguement. Some things are just beyond the "car" scale:
