Hello to all,

Just thought I would vent some steam on here about an order I made awhile back for door seals from Restoration Specialties. I placed my order on August 6. After I had not heard anything for five weeks, I called them on September 14 to ask about my order. They told me that they had run out of materials and would be getting some within a week or so, at which time they would fill orders. I waited a few more weeks and still no door seals, so I sent them an e-mail about it on Thursday, October 21 (this past Thursday). They have not bothered to return my e-mail. I am beyond pissed off. In total, it has been 11 weeks since I placed my order. Just thought I would let everyone on here know what's been going on with this order. Has anyone else had problems with this company in the past?

The reply they sent you via e-mail is almost exactly the same thing they told me on September the 14th when I called them. At least they gave you the courtesy of a return e-mail. Hopefully they will get it in and ship soon. I have grown tired of water splashing into my truck

Hello to all,

Just thought I'd update my weatherstrip situation. I've installed my door weatherstripping from Restoration Specialties and it fits great. It's nice to not have to worry about water getting in your truck! Anyway, just thought I'd let everybody know that they sell good stuff and it fits good. It comes in one long strip and you cut it to fit your door, but it's easy to do. I bought my adhesive from Wal-Mart (3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive). Restoration Specialties sells the same stuff, but for a higher price.

I also found another site that supposedly sells weatherstripping for LUV doors (although obviously I haven't ordered any). It is more expensive than Restoration Specialties, but just looking at it, I think they sell it pre-formed for your door (no cutting). Anyway, here's the link to the other site:
