There's a LUV in my neighborhood for sale but it has a major problem. The transfer case is missing. Can anyone help me figure out which case I'd need to buy? Here's what I know about the truck... it's a '72 4x4 with a 350 small block. I know it's not much to work with, but I'd really appreciate any info you could give me.

well, i can tell you one thing, that sure isn't stock! no luv was ever offered with anything bigger than a 4 banger, and 4x4s weren't available until 1979

you'll have to find out what tranny is in it to find a suitable transfer case. my guess would be that it probably has a slushbox like a TH350, so it might take an NP205 transfer case

I found it in the Recycler.com for $800 bucks. It sounds like a kick ass little truck but I don't think I'm gonna buy it because A: the transfer case sounds like a PITA and B: I already have a Jeep. Sorry no pics though.
