And this is one way to get around losing your keys....

I was going to have to re-wire some stuff anyway. The previous owner had a lot of things running straight to the battery, and I was constantly having to disconnect it after shutting the engine off. Worked out better this way.

:P

lol! you got it ben  . i kinda like the ignition setup. i need to do that to mine. i have a good idea to make it theft proof though. splice in a hidden toggle switch, (i have a 15 amp circuit breaker out of an airplane on my chevelle) to your ignition wire going to the starter. when the switch is thrown to the open position, no matter what they do, NO START!! :D

I was going to put a button on the floorboard, like those old floor mounted dimmer switches, only have it to where you have to hold it down with your foot to close the circuit to the starter button. Basically where you would just have 2 buttons to push instead of one.

Anyway, it occurred to me that I only have 2 feet. I would have to disable the clutch safety switch to do that, and while that's not hard to do, I just decided against it. I don't drive the truck anywhere, really, so I just disconnect the battery while it sits at home. I live in a good neighborhood anyway. :D

8O its the long lost 4x4 brother to mine :D
looks good dude. i had a simaler starter setup on a 81 chevett i had. but instead of a reguler toggel switch, i had a single pole light house light switch. also had one that ran the heater blower motor. now THATS redneck :drinking:
