As for the brakes, you know I really had not thought much about it, but it is true that Impulses have rear discs, 10.5 inch discs in fact. The rear suspension is completely different, 3 link on the early models and 5 link on the Lotus designed post 85 models, but I bet a lot of stuff could be modified or swapped across. I think the Impulse has 4 lug wheels, so the rotors might have to be drilled to work, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't swap the hardware over without much other fabrication. Now if one where building a high performance 2WD, finding a way to bolt that lotus suspension package to a LUV would certainly be cool.
