here is mine, its an old pic, I have my wheels and my fuel cell in now. I'll try and get updated pics tonight. But my suspension layout is identical to the first gen luv design so this applies to the trucks that have the older body style too.

front suspension:

triangulated lever-style 4 link- its not done yet but I'm close, I have to weld on the bag mounts, weld on shock mounts, and paint the upper and lower bars body color.

dude you truck is sick would that application you have work on our luvs say 1980s. i think you should paint the fron rims red and get some nice fatty white walls on and then lay out some DB90 pirmer. go old skool with new skool. i would love to see that setup in real life.GO RAT FINK!!!

yeah, my suspension is identical to the pre 81 body style. Now that I have done one, its pretty easy to do, actually its like most other torsion bar equipped trucks.

I was headed the rat fink route when I got this thing but in the pic you see one red wheel....in reality I have my new wheels already on it, they are 17" isuzu axioms. but I'm going to have my OE steelies powder coated red and I'll stick some phatty white walls on them just to mix the look of the truck up a bit every now and then but for now its got the 17"s on it. I'll get you photos.

I like the idea of air ride, but how's the handling and comfort? I want to make mine ride like a sports car and have the versatility of the air support. How hard were they to install? Where did you get them? Cost? Any help would be appreciated, it's this or coilovers.

No kits for airbags (except for S10's becasue everyone has them).

Check out http://www.StreetSourceMag.com . This site is all bagged and customized trucks and cars. If you have any questions just ask them...

The tan LUV has a profile on Street Source Mag also. He is putting a 502 in it. Grant Kustoms in Oroville,California did all the airbag work. There website is http://www.GrantKustoms.com

Oh, and when I get money I'm going to bag and body drop (make the body and frame level so the body lays on the ground) my 1980 LUV Long Bed.

The dude witht he older luv that is bagged and body dropped has been planing the 502 swap for quite some time now...kinda old news. will be sweet when its all done though.

I am running 8 valves wich gives independant wheel adjustability and no air transfer in the corners. As for how this one rides, I cant comment as it hasn't been on the road yet but should soon.

The part came from Jason at SuicideDoors.com. Jason is VERY well respected in the bagged comunity and is a top of the line mini trucker. I made it a point to buy all my ish from Jason.

Here is a couple updated shots of the truck:

and a very nice discount at that!!!!!

And not just the phatty discount, but J will actually BS with you about suspension layouts and all sorts of mini related stuff. All the while while he has 15 customers on hold waiting ot talk to him. It doesn't matter to him, ea customer is a mini-truckin brother and he takes the time to explain things if needed. That dude has a place to stay while he is Oregon, and he knows its right at my house!!! Thats how much he seems like family to me.

Jason is the $hit!!!

hey any body know of A way to bring the front wheels in like 1/2 and inch to 1 inch or more? cause i got some rims there 16x8 and there even with the front fender. i was thinking maybey flare or mustang 2 front end but i would like somthing less expensive like a rotor swap or sumthing.

the only way I can imagine your going to move the hub assembly in-board that much is to custom make your own upper and lower control arms-----which isn't going ot be cheap...and you'd probably run into some clearance issues with the 8" wide wheel now rubbing against the frame steering linkage while turning.

I recomend you sell the wheels you have and buy them again in 17-18-19 x 7 instead of the ?x8. Probably going to be more expensive but its what you have to do to run on the 6-lug with as little clearance we have.
