For some reason I just don't particularily care for the off-highway lights mounted on front bumpers. But they are in the most useful spot I can imagine, so I though of a compromise.

If you have a newer Luv with dual low/high headlights, could you put the grill from an older four light luv and put some off highway lights next to the regular headlights?

And if anyone's interested, vica versa, can you set up dual low/high headlights in an old four light luv and swap some off-highways in the old space?

That way you could pop in some killer off-way lights, keep the stock look, and have fully functional headlights. Just put the off-highways on a relay to come on with the brights. Maybe another pair on a roll bar on top. High-beams, and four off-highway lights, let me know if I'm crossing alternator voltage boundaries. But that would definately put off a glow. 8)

Since my truck's been down I havne't wanted to put it on in case I couldn't get it running again, but it's running now, if not well. So I'm taking it over to my bosses on Tuesday and Wednesday to get it done.

Yeah, I have 'em marked just in case, and the boss has the net at his house, so all the info's right there, thanks. I'm sure I'll be using it.

But I'll tell yall what i'm fixin to do for extra lights.....
Original Yugo headlights are plastic(so no worries of breakin a lense by hanging them below the front bumper) 8)

Therefore am in process of making my own brackets for set to go there, next am putting my topper back on for the winter and will install a 2nd set up there as well. (Yes I have plenty of Yugo parts here also, as i collect those as well)

And Yes, I will have one brightly lit unit rollin down the road.but this ol cow-boy is gunna be able to SEE this winter when it's bad out :P

Another helpfull hint: In winter-time i keep a pair of wire cutters in glove-box of my truck, cause that way if I end up off road(sometimes happens) and cannot get back on road...i simply cut fence, drop to 4-low and proceed onward thru field or whatever the case may be. :D

same here born a redneck allways a redneck. i had a idea like that only useing a VW gti front grill. only i was just gona put some fog lights in the opening and then use the luvs normal head lights, and wire the fog lights to come on when the high beams come on. i like this idea.
