I got a body lift kit for my luv. I got it through JC whitney...i think it was 120 bucks....I am not sure if you consider it cheap. The only work that was a lil dificlut is that I had to cut a biger hole in the firewall for the steering coloumn and had to chage some of the brakelines in the front.

Also the torsion bars do raise the front end up some, so to comensate for the rear, I bought spring leaf helpers. They are about 40 bucks and all you need is a jack to put them on your leaf springs.

lol..
My white 80 Luv only had 1/2 the lift.. (no bed on it when i got it) just went to home depot and bought some pipe that was the same height as the front lift, some longer bolts and washers... doesn't do too bad.. at least the bed is lined up now.. instead 3 inches too low.. hehe...

$20 shackles and a torsion bar crank is all you need. You can go as high as about 3" that way. Be sure and align the truck after, though, or you'll be buyin' tires soon...

i went down to tognottie's auto world and found a chevy luv-isuzu p'up front end lift kit. it was made by rancho suspension, and basicly relocates the whole front end,it says you can get a max of 4"out of the kit. the guy in charge of that section of the store said that they arn't made anymore but there's a few of em' in stock still.

the store is in sacramento, california and probably would be worth giving a call to since they ship from there.

With the body lift from JC Whitney, what exactly did you have to do to make it work. I just bought one but haven't put it on yet, any help would be nice, Thanks

if you want to do a cheap body lift then go to a sporting goods store and buy a bunch of hockey pucks(the black vinal ones) and stack them up and drill a hole through the middle of them and stick em on like you would do reg. lift blocks. plus you get a little bit of shock absortion by using them.. just a thought though.
