A friend of mine picked up a cherry 79 LUV 4X4 in the Seattle area a couple weeks ago. 60+k on the odomoeter, AC, and, get this, a 5 speed factory tranny. (Never heard of that before.) One owner and always garaged and dealership maintained. He wants $3500 for it. What you all think?

Nah! No Pix. He parked it at his Dad's place over on the coast for now. He test drove it and crawled around under it. It's clean underneath and supposedly never been off-roading. I have yet to see it. He's 6'3" and 275 lbs and could never be comfortable driving it. He just got it cuz he's seen mine many times and knows there's not many around. He bought it for resale.

Join the club. 6'3", 265. Size 15 shoe. I usually drive with my right shoe off, and push the gas with my big toe.

Me, I'm just a scrawny little fellar compared to you and my buddy. 5'10" and 175 lbs. But hey, I'm 67 years old and can bench press my body weight. I figure that's an accomplishment. Where's Edmond at, Grimace? I used to travel around Oklahoma back in the early '60s when I was stationed at Sheppard AFB, outside of Wichita Falls.

I had to have been thru Edmond. The ex's Gramma lived up in Wichita, Kansas. Before her and I married, some of us flyboys used to drive up to Lawton to drink and carouse. I was hoping some of you guys would give me an opinion on whether they thought $3500 was a fair price on that cherry LUV my friend has. If it's as good as he says, I'd love to get it. My wife wonders what I would do with two LUVs.

You'd drive 'em, duh! Ask some of the people on here who have more luvs in their driveway then I do in my entire state. They could tell ya better than anyone else.

Richard:
I live in town and have a one car garage. The wife's Subaru gets the garage and the LUV gets the street. Not much room to park anything here. Unless I build another garage in back. But there would go part of her rose garden.

I would say that 3500 is a good price if he wanted a clean luv. If he wanted to make a profit, then it was a little high. Hope this helps.
