I have a 1980 cheverolet luv. and i want to lift it and add 4wd what will i need??

Sounds like a good time to think about a straight axle conversion! Guys use Toyota axles in place of the existing LUV ones. And since its a 2wd your gonna be swapping a lot of the drivetrain out. (trans, t-case) etc. Thats what I would do. Theres other guys on here that know more about that stuff then me though...

I would keep it all stock, but thats why i am me......and i have all the stuff here to change one to 4x4 and keep it all stock.i just dont like toyotas, but agin...thas why im ME (LOL) good luck w whatever way you decide! :wink:

exactly what parts do i need. because i have a toyota truck 1985 that has mostly all the parts but i dont know if it has everything i need till i find it.

I am looking to have the same thing done to mine. What kind of chassis should I be looking for that will hold a 4.3 v6, auto transmission ?
