im actually Air Force. Im here for aircraft structure maintnence school, which is just a realy long way of saying sheetmetal.

Oddly enough, I am an aircraft stuctural mechanic for the Navy. My specialty was hydraulic systems on the F/A-18.

OH MY GOD!!! MEPR is a Lifer! Thats how it starts, first it's a Rope, then you go below the Zone. It's a snowball effect that you'll never get out of. Once you clear your 12th year of enlistment (assuming that you dont take college courses and end up in OTC) you'll be screwed with because they got you. It would be a waste to DOS before your 20 and they know this.

HaHaHa, Just messin with you. It's good that you can cut the lifestyle. Some have felt that they've made a big mistake by enlisting and their lives are crap for a few years.
A word of advise though, Once you get to your first Duty Station, forget that you were a Rope because it will mean nothing. Just get in there and work Sheetmetal. Being taught in a classroom is different than working on the flightline. As far as aviation work goes in the civilian world, Sheetmetal mechs are always needed regardless of the mod or job.

yeah i wont carry the rope thing outside of tech. I whanted to join drill team mostly becouse it will test me, i have to keep a perfect room and perfect uniforms now. So its all just to see how good an airman i can be
