I've seen new old stock factory dashes go for near twice that, and NOS will just crack again like the original. These are better than stock, and the only thing going for a like factory look replacement. Its supply and demand. Sure I think it is too rich for my blood, but I'm a stingy miser. Try to find a *perfect* dash for any less.

As a matter of interest the fibreglass tooling mold cost almost $10,000 and postal charges are around $100 a unit -

Then there is the fibreglass frame itself, material, labour, vacuum forming, finishing, coloring and export packing - we are also attempting to make a modest profit to boot.

Sorry if you think it's ridiculous but I honestly doubt that it could be produced and supplied any cheaper.

However I do thank yall for xplaining it all to me from A to Z. I cant help it that I have discovered a much cheaper way to re-do ANY dash, and its all stuff i can buy at my local Wal-mart for next to nothing. Now Im not giving out all my secrets or ill be outta business, but i know my way works and it will NEVER crack again and it looks just as good as original, if not better!

We sincerely wish you well, and you should make a fortune - We are surprised Wal-mart sell vacuum forming ovens etc. Give us a run down on what you can do as we could well be a major customer if your product is as revolutionary as you claim that it can supecede what we have specialised in for 20 years.

Please provide us a quote for Chev Luv, 1969 Cadillac, BMW5 Series, SAAB 9000 and a Porsche 928 including instrument surround and console restoration.

By the sound of your claim we could save thousands per year if cost of your process is "next to nothing" - please provide details by return as this could revolusionalise the dashboard restoration industry. Look forward to hearing from you at the earliest time.

Dam, yall are so busy responding to me that i just dont see how youre managing to get any work done over there!!
I just know I have my way and my way works fine and Ive never needed a vacuum forming oven, and yes i have been doing quite well financially, thank you. I appreciate your interest in what Ive got going here but i wouldnt dare make the fatal mistake of partnering up with a company and causing folks to have to dig out thier life savings just over a dash-board.
As for these cars you mention...i have NO interest in any such vehicle nor do i even associate with anyone who does. I am strictly a TRUCK man, as cars are absolutely worthless to me. So thats where you come in handy, anyone needing a dash-board for those kind of cars, i shall refer them to you. With that i wish you the best of luck. Yall have a real nice day now, ya hear :D
