Looks like I might be selling the blower set up that is on my truck along with a bunch of other big block stuff. I purchased a 6-71 set up and just hope it will clear the windshield and hood. It should be here next week, and I will also be going to 2x4's. This will be going on the new engine not the current engine. I have about decided to sell everything but one big block. I currently have 4 or 5 and I could sell most of it and build one killer engine.

your poublem is not the eng. you have more than you need now. your truck is not set up for that much power. working on the truck will give you more room under the hood and better 60' times

That's what I got too...
If you've seen the video of ratnluv, well... it didn't look or sound like there were engine problems.

Yes I do have more power than I need, but not as much as I want. With the smaller blower it is driven at 1.95:1 with the 6-71 I can actually underdrive it and get the same boost levels. Also with a bigger blower the low end will not be as strong as the small blower but the top end will be better. This should help on the 60' times.
As far as suspension I have not even started to adjust the four link and will worry about getting the power to the ground when I get the engine completed. For now it is a fun to drive and respectable at the strip. My main concern is keeping it streetable.

The 6-71 clears the windshield but not the hood. No room for a breather. I am not sure what I am going to do now. I have time to decide since I have no engine ready at the moment.

How bout one of those slim/wide cowl induction hoods???? You know, like on some of the new Rangers (theirs are fake though)..... It is only about an inch and a half high, but is as wide as the entire hood so it looks like the hood just has and arch.....

I ran across a 454 and Turbo 400 Thursday night and went and bought it on Friday night. Bone stock 73,000 miles out of a motorhome. I am putting it in the Luv so I can finish riding this summer. I should be back in the driver seat in a few weeks.

Sweet! I remember when I was @ 15 I wanted my grandma's full size chevy pickup w/ 454. I wanted to put it in a '79 datsun pu. But she sold the truck for $1200. That thing was nice prolly woulda killed myself back then though.

Rat we do expect pics of the truck with the new goodies.
