Does the top of the motor sit level? Or is it pointing down hill? If the angle of the motor is too drastic, you could end up having driveline problems. If it looks level it should be ok. I've seen some other trucks with the motor placed low in the frame. As long as nothing touches the motor, it should be just fine. Check the ground clearance at the pan. You dont want to damage it over speed bumps and such.

Same here. My stuff is really low too, but I would think they all are!

 ...My engine sits to high...I wish mine was lower.

SOME block huggers will fit a SBC equipped LUV. The Hookers were designed for the LUV...and they are almost a gaurenteed fit. As for the cheapy ones...its hard to say. Its seems all different header manufacturers like to build headers with their own design. So you might run into a problem with those...probably interfering with your steering/suspension. If your not sure find a place that will let you try or return them if they don't work. I don't know if theres many places that will do that, E-bay most likely won't...

Dude I wish i would have seen this post earlier. I would have made you a deal on an extra exhaust system I have laying around. I have Hooker Block huggers with an extended collector so it exits parallel with the ground. 2.5" alum tubing, 3 chamber flowmasters, 3" tail pipes that exit right in front of the rear tire. essentially its the whole exhaust system from block to tail pipe. hardly used but a little dirty from laying around.
