I'm doing a towing and hauling upgrade to my 2wd and the suspension is already done. I took my trailer down to dmv to get the vin for it and i think i roasted the rear output shaft's bearing in my pup 5 speed.

is there a way to get heaver duty bearing sets for a tranny? i think the shafts and gears can handle the load but the bearings gave up the ghost.

is there a heaver 5 spd that will fit a stock motor without breaking the bank?

not much that you can do i'm afraid. i know some later isuzu motors(3.2 and 3.5) share bellhousing patterns with the toyota R151F heavy 5 speed, but not much for early 4 bangers

i just want to know how hard it was to put the 5spd into you luv?

a total pain to tell the truth i had to get a buddy to mill me a new mount on short notice and re drill the crossmember....thank god the driveline fit though(glad i thought to grab that w/ the tranny) i don't trust a re-welded driveline. had one snap once.

I'll tell ya though....a solid tranny mount gives me a few more hp to the tires but it's noisy as all hell.

i was serious about a beef up mod for an izuzu 5 speed.........could really use it.
