 Post subject: Pacesetter Headers
PostPosted: Sat May 29, 2004 8:54 pm
Hey guys,

I am thinkin of buying a pacesetter header for my 81, and I would like to hear any opinions that y'all might have. Expected power/torque gains over stock, overall worth, and other stuff along those lines. All opinions welcome and appreciated.

Mucho thanks :)

I've got a similar header though I'm not sure it is a pacesetter. It is a four into one design though. I have heard some say that a tri-y (2 into 2 into 1) design will provide better low end torque though. I am fairly please with the one I have, though I never had this truck with anything but. If you can afford it, a Weber carb and a header make a fantastic combo. The Weber moves more air in, the header helps it get out of the motor faster. Each on their own does less than the two combined. If your exhaust is not needing replacement right away, I think I would opt for the Weber first personally, but either way you go you will see gains.
