What year did the first LUV Mikado version come out and how long were they in production?

Welcome to the site.

I believe I first saw a Mikado in 76 or 77, and were still being manufactured up until 82 when they stopped production.

I think it must have been 76 when they started them, 'cause I looked at a 76 once that was a Mikado

I had a 75 and it was a Mikado and Scott's 74 is a Mikado.

I thought they started in the later 70's (around 77 or 78 ) with the Mikado package but the dudes LUV on Pimp my ride was a 74 and it was a Mikado. Learn something new everyday!!

74 Hmmm. I don't remember seeing any 74's with Cloth Seats, but I will take your word on it. I think I have seen some with the Mikado on the side, but some of those had the newer bed on them than the one's with the tail lights on the back.

Scott's 74 (in classifieds section parting out) is a Mikado. We threw the orginal cloth seat in the dumpster a few weeks ago. It also has cloth door panels, chrome drip rails, chrome winshield trim, mikado emblem on the glove box door, and leather Mikado steering wheel.
