YEAP 172 neddies runs 14.78s down the 1/4 mile. In australia we got the luv aswell - i dont have one but i want one becuase they look hell of alot better than a isuzu KB rodeo.

Also regarding engine info if you go to http://www.hotgemini.com we are more than willing to help :D

here is my dyno graph too.

Some of those high HP numbers for G200s are the W version, dual overhead cam. There are motors we've never seen here in the US that make some significant power right out of the box. I just spent some time reading through posts at hotgemini though and they do some extreme stuff with any motor. In the states we give up on the 4 banger at some point and just go bigger motor, these guys don't stop building power into 4 cyls until the exhaust starts to provide jet thrust from so much air/fuel going through the motor. 8O

8O 400 hp???? Damn....

800xl is right, we stop fooling around with 4 bangers after a certain horsepower figure. No replacement for displacement! :P

When you get tired of reading it in the forums there, hit the gallery links for some pics of the stuff. I must say it is strange looking at a blower pushing through a Weber carb and still seeing that Isuzu valve cover behind it all.

http://www.hotgemini.com/cgi-bin/galler ... =1243&os=0

BTW, the more I read, the more I am learning that most of these are done with SOHC 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0L motors. Fun stuff indeed.

Australians are an awesome bunch- they have no great love for big ol' V8s! They take their 4 & 6 bangers and wring enuff power out of them to whoop a bunch of 8s. The small Ford 6 is one popular engine over there, as are the Mopar 6's. IIRC, they had Hemi heads on some of them- factory!

Proves the point that the stock G series block is capable of some serious horsepower, but at what cost? We americans overlook the 4 bangers only due to cost and reliability, (and probably availability?) not that they are not capable, theres a line there. Do any of the aussies know what one of them motors cost to build? that is the question on my mind.

well i havnet dyno pulled my LUV but i have people tell me to expect in the nieghborhood of 200 BHP. I can definelty believe there are lots better Isuzu 4bangers out there. The European spec non turbo Impulses (Piaza) make 130hp whith a DOHC 2.0L, then whith the turbo they come up to 160hp i think.
