I just filled the tank and i was going for a drive down a 2 lane Hwy. I was traveling at 71 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone. Plus i didn't have my insurance card in the truck. The court cost are going to wipe out my tax return check. Bummer!

Time to go back to the v6, sounds like...

Seriously, the same thing happened to me this week. Took off on the highway not paying attention, went around the corner and met up with a state trooper doing 75 in a 55. Didn't even wait for him to turn around, just pulled over and waited. He had a very appalled look on his face as we passed. Didn't have my insuarance card, but all I have to do is mail a copy of it with my tickets, and pay 85 bucks for the speeding ticket.

Go back to the V-6... Thats a good one!
Here in this small, military town, they will dismiss the fine but still bill you for court cost. The fines are nothing compared to the cost cost. I guess somebody has to feed the cops.

Dude I feel your pain! I got nailed the other day, when I was hauling some cattle to auction. I was doing 120 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. (I don't want to convert that to miles per hour  ) But anyways, my usual trick never worked this time, and I got the ticket. Usually I give them a funny look when they tell me I was speeding and say "You think this thing will go that fast pulling that???"  That 7.3L chipped diesel sure has trouble pulling that trailer I tell ya...  Usually works, but not this time... :(

I got pulled over a few weeks ago for going 38 in a 25 zone. But since I had such a clean record the cop just cited me for having my brake lights out, and didn't say anything about my speed except to follow the limit. Only cost me $40. I got lucky.
