Well, guess what? :?:
I just picked up yet another LUV today. :D
This one is a yellow 79 stepside. 8)
The body and bed are in good condition except for behind the driver's door is pushed in (but door still closes fine). It needs alot of cleaning and TLC, but shouldn't be too bad of a truck. :?
I will try to get pics up next weekend. :)
It was supposed to run, but smoke alot. However me and a buddy could not get it to start. 8O
Oh well, time to pull the engine out of the 78 and put it in that one.

Sounds like you're going to end up with a pretty cool truck. Way to go. Congrats.

That is the same truck I got there. That long bed is a haul ass truck.

I am getting pissed at you for getting so much free LUV!

The stepside wasn't free, but pretty close.
I don't look for these LUVs, I get them offered to me. I don't quite understand that either. :?
Maybe I just look like a needy person.

Parking? What's that?
Good question, being that I do live in an apartment.
I am just hoping that the apartment manager continues to play nice and allow me to keep them here, although parking does get a little scarce at times.
I am looking for a house with plenty of parking, and a garage so I can work on them a little easier. But who knows what I will find. :?

Finally got the stepside up and "running".
It does indeed smoke quite a bit and the engine funky nocks too, so probably no saving it. :(
There is an awful lot of rust through in the floorboards so I will probably just pull the bed and other usable parts off of it and use it for the other trucks. :?
I don't know what year the front grill and lights are off of.
Here are some pics:

Actually, the stepside bed will most likely be going on my 77, along with the front fenders and hood.

Dude, you planning on starting a LUV museum?!? :D I'm glad you're buying them and recycling stuff though instead of letting them get sent to the crusher. I wish I could buy a stepside bed from you...
