got the engine and transmission bolted in the truck last night!
what a relief!
now I have wiring, tranny cooler, alternator mount, headers, exhaust, hoses, radiator, miscellaneous, etc....etc..... to do.
still a lot to buy and a lot to fabricate, but the major part is done. :-)

Congratulations!

Now for the inevitable question... got any pics? :D I'm sure it still looks disorganized and somewhat ugly, as all works-in-progress do, but I'd still be interested to take a look! Way to go man, I'd love to hear how the rest of it comes along. Good luck!

I'm sure it is as clean as all the other photos we've seen.
What I'm curious about, how does the front suspension feel. Even without driving, how do the 350 LB springs feel?

Good deal!!! I know the feeling. Have you figured out your exhaust yet? I got out cheap and tied the headers to the old dual system from the V-6. If you're serious, get a whole new system thats at least 2 1/2 dia.

aight I will get pics of where it is soon. Until then you can see up to date pics from the WWW button below. :D

When I had the engine and tranny in for mock up when I was doing the mounts the springs felt good, but I can't come to a definite decision until I drive it.

As far as exhaust I have bullet mufflers and am going to be running 3" exhaust out to the axle. yup it'll be loud, but also fast. 8) if it is too loud I will run the exhaust further out.

I just ordered $250 of more stuff to finish the fuel system and other miscellaneous items including a lokar tranny dipstick, because there was no way the stock tranny dipstick was getting in that hole....lol

I got me one of those Lokar Trans dipsticks too. I have the long one(ha ha). I routed it up next to the washer fluid tank. It's pretty sweet. Their not cheap (60.00) but it makes for a cleaner install and it comes with a tube to fill the trans with. Im not really concerned with the cosmetics of the part but it sure works out better than the stock metal tube.
