so I am going to get my luv this weekend (YAY!!!!)

BUT I called u-haul about renting a trailer to haul it back....they want to charge me...get this....$275!!!!!! There's a one way fee and then they would charge me for 4 days 'cause that is how long they think it would take me to "safely" load, drive home, and then unload. Ok, at MOST, it would take me 2 days. Those losers. :x

anyways, is there anyone from the Seattle-Tacoma-Everett area who has a trailer that I could borrow on Saturday and Sunday? I dunno if I'd be able to get it returned to you Sunday but soon after.

any help is appreciated!!!!! :)

you should be able to just go to a Uhaul place and tell them what you want.
in some cases it is cheaper to get the Uhaul, trailer it empty and return it to the same place when you are finished.
don't let them tell you what u need....you tell them what you want.
if they don't want your buisiness you can take it somewhere else.
Budget may rent trailers, or hertz.
good luck!

I can check and see if the trailer I used, would be available this weekend.
It belong's to a place where a friend of mine works, and is a pretty big trailer.
I'll let ya know when I get in touch with him.
Oh yeah, where are picking up the truck from?

I'm going from Seattle to the Medford area OR and then up to Arlington, WA to drop the truck off.

and I'll check to see if taking it down empty and then returning it up here is cheaper.

thanks for the help!!!

I had a hell of a time finding a trailer also, I went to No-Haul and they had a trailer they were going to let me use until they found out I was going to haul my 39 Chevy 450 miles back to Denver, then they said "No way" that car it to heavy for our trailer. I will NEVER go to them for anything and looks like somebody else might not either. I finally found a guy I used to see at car shows and he let me borrow his for FREE!!! Have you tried calling a trailer sales place to maybe see if they have any rentals?? I never thought of that when I needed mine, did try utility rental places and no luck with them either! :x Good luck on your hunt.

Jess, I could probably talk my wife into calling around tomorrow and checking with different places here if you'd like.

Getting it on the trailer should be fun... maybe I'll work some OT on Sunday... Not!

yeah that'd be great! tell your wife thanks.

I didn't realize renting a trailer would be so expensive 8O , so I am hoping to get one for under $100.

I have to go from Medford to Marysville, WA. (in case the rental people need to know)

thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

Jess

Jess I called a couple of places...
$248 for a trailer 4days.
$125 for a tow dolly 4days.
They want to know what either will be pulled with also. Just to make sure your not trying to haul a dump truck with a Yugo or an old Mini Cooper.

Damn, too bad you don't live here in the Flats of the Great plains like me. I got a 30 foot flat deck 5th wheel, 21 foot tri-axle, 18 foot tandem, and and 4 place ski-doo trailer I would lend out anyday. Oh well

no..... I couldn't find anyone with a trailer to lend me, and u-haul won't rent to Ford Explorers. I can't afford gas + renting the trailer + buying the truck. like I said, stupid companies ruin everything. I'll find another, though it's ok.
