Hey, I just got a 1980 Chevy Luv from California, it was in the family. It only has 24,000 miles on it, its in perfect condition, and I'm about to paint it. Only thing wrong is the seats are not in that great of condition. Zero rust. How much do you guys think this thing is worth? And if I decide to keep it, is a 350 conversion worth it?

Thanks

Well not bad physically in terms of appearance but he drained the oil out of it and was really sick last week and wasnt paying attention and just jumped in to go to doctor and my wife said my truck sounded funny and about that time it popped real loud and died....put oil in it and was able to get it home but very gutless and smoking alot more than usual....but i have to go to mechanic after work today to see how bad it is will post what i find out...but also he had broken into it previously ,the first time he borke the ignition switch trying to punch the lock...i had fixed that and put shims in the door so a slim jim would not work, second he tried to break into it this time he punched the door lock cause the slim jim wouldn't work...and then this thing with the oil......and have filed three reports with sherriff but no results really sucks all this damage to my truck and i cant do anything.....

I have seen several in used car lots and usually sell for over a thousand in lots and have seen alot in personal sales but yes they do have resale value in my opinion.

ok thanks... and also, does anyone know where i can get better seats? the current ones are pretty used and faded. i'd like to avoid having to fabricate mounts if possible.

I agree just fabricate them and put bucket seats will be faster and better than to find originally marketed seats for it....
