I have heard that cars with v8's cause people to have higher car insurance payments. So, if LUV's didn't originally come with v8's, and I put one in it, then what would happen to my payments? Would they skyrocket since LUV's aren't supposed to have v8's? or would it just go up a little?

of course, mine would be lower than most of yours anyways, considering I'm a girl and I get good grades (go me!) :D

My take on it is that they require the VIN number and no VIN number has a 6 where the 4 is. So if they don't ask, don't tell. Just give them the VIN and your set.

I put the insurance back on my truck today. They didn't ask and I sure didn't tell. At one time my son was listed as primary driver on it.

Just remember, if they dont know, you will only get stock replacement value if it is wrecked!!! And that is not very much, last I remember, blue book on my truck was around $600. I have always been meaning to get mine appraised for that exact reason but now that it isnt on the road, its not a real priority right now.

My luv was out of the system of the DMV. I had ot get a weight certificate
but there were no question about the engine from dmv or insurance company.

Have you found a stepside yet? you could get a stepside bed from a wrecking yard and just put it on a luv. (they arent common but every now and then I see one at a wrecking yard)

no I haven't found a stepside yet, I am actually buying a luv, but it's not stepside. Someday I'll find one to throw on it though. I'll have to keep my eye out at the junk yards.
