So I am a little new at this... but just what is a fuel cell, and what purpose does it serve???? :?

im not an expert but a fuel cell is a gas tank that has been designed so that it's a lot tougher to rupture. separate cells inside keep all the fuel from sloshing around causing your vehicle's balance to change, the only times that i've seen one used is in racing and demo derbys.

most guys put them in the bed to balance the weight more evenly also.
