Mine is missing all the smog stuff on it now, the vacuum system almost doesn't exist. It's got plugs in the air manifold holes and it runs pretty good. Even still got it to pass the smog test. :D

Narcisist, Do you still have the O2 sensor on your truck and where is it at if you do. Mine is just dangling underneath the truck and it has been like that since I bought the truck and I dont know where it goes. I got the whole exhaust system done and it wasnt even hooked up when I got it done. Do you still have all stock engine and how the hell did you get it too pass smog so easy without all that and what year is your truck. Thanks

It's an '80 mikado, but the engine is actually a 1.9 out of a '84 isuzu pick-up. No o2 sensor that I can see, but I'll look closer tomorrow, doesn't have a cat either. The people that had it before me lived in a no emission area.

To get it to pass I took it to my buddy who works at a smog shop, and it was runnin' at about twice the limit the way it was running. So all he said he did was disconnect the vacuum lines and lean it out as much as he could and it passed at about half the limit.

On the CO (%) test:
3.24 (max) 0.37 (ave) It passed at 1.72.

I have an 80 mikado too, is yours blue send me some pics dude. And what kind of truck did you get that motor out of because I am sick and tired of working on this motor of mine, I want to get a different motor for it because I think that the block may be cracked or something, I cant figure it out, but I am not sure because I am not a full on mechanic. Does that motor bolt right up to the tranny or would I have to get another tranny, Do you know of any V6's that can bolt up to the stock tranny. Thanks Shane

I had sent some pics in to Ben to get posted but something didn't work out so they didn't show. But it's Brick red with a shell and a carpet kit that goes all the way through, the whole back wall has been cut out for it. Pretty cool. The engine stock in the truck is a G180 and mine (1984 isuzu pick-up) is a G200. Almost Identical, just a better flowing head. Bolts right up and most parts cross-over. Still workin' on the V6 thing myself. Thanks.

Smog stuff???? Whats that?? You can remove almost all smog stuff on any motor that is not computer controlled, all you have to do is know where to run the vacuum lines. My not so stock LUV actually has a Cali edition 350 in it and no longer has any emissions stuff on it, but still passes emissions for idaho and washington (live in oregon but visit alot of friends so felt like checking). I am not too familiar with the stock LUV/PUP motors, but I'm sure if you plug some and redirect others, it should work fine.
