Single groove crankshaft pulleys seem to be as common as dinosaur eggs. Every wrecking yard that i've been to looked at me like if i was some kind of nutcase! Does anyone know where to get one?

I got a Moroso underdrive pulley at a local parts store for like $35, its a single groove. We are talking about a small block right?

Try Napa, they ought to have one of them, I'd be surprised if they didn't.

I'll give it a try finding it at NAPA. I'll ask if they got the Moroso pulley. I was looking to get a stock pulley so the water pump and alt would spin normally but at this point, i just what to find anything that will get it on the road.

they are hard to find because they are kind of pricey brand new so everybody buys up or steals them from the wrecking yards. ask any junk yard dog. an SBC single groove pulley is a hot item. try Jegs, Summit, PAW has a lot of pulleys too.

I had the same problem so I had one made out of billet. Kind of pricey but those extra grooves were driving me crazy!!! 8O

I was able to get one by going thru a couple of people. I eventually got it from Willie of "Willie's Performance Automotive repair of Killeen TX. It was painted and ready to go and he GAVE it to me!! Apparently he's got his own "American Hot Rod" shop building killer cars and trucks. All of the stock gear comes off and new hi-tech gear goes on. Stuff like this just piles up in the corner of his shop. There's a number of cool custom jobs in the works in his shop. This guy is an all out Gearhead! I'm still amazed that this is happening right in my own back yard. If you need some help, get ahold of Willie. He can fix you up.
