Hey RMS, might just be easier to replace the bulbs with colored ones behind the guage panel and a whole lot cheaper. You have to remember these trucks are not like the newer ones, technology was pretty basic back then, which is why I went this route!!!

You can always do the plexiglass look too and mount them into the same slots. Then put a 12V neon behind it.

Ooooh! You stole a 40 Mph Sign~ Well, since it is a nice truck, I think I can overlook it this time. Where did ya get it so I can get one?

That was quick. High horse to dust whore in three sentences.

Not sure who you were asking about the dash pad but if it was me, well I did that back in 91-92 and I got it from Chevrolet. My brother is a parts man for chevy and told me they were being discontinued and I better get one if I wanted one!! Nice to have connections!!! 8)

Anyone know if plexiglass can be bought thick enuf to do the same with the instrument cluster? I am itching to do it now that I see that folks are working with other materials.

yes it can be bought thick enough. if you are going to be working with plexiglass and drilling holes, start small cause the plexiglass will crack.

I planned on starting with a few smaller projects with the dremel and working up to a instrument cluster. Like a 1 foot by 4 foot piece to do the cluster.
