Can't believe it. J.C. Whitney has dash covers listed. That's all that's really needed, sinse there is metal under there anyway. They have them listed in 14 different colors including black. Do they have them in stock? I don't know cause I don't need one. They are however shipped from the factory, so expect a wait. I think there is so restructuring going on at Isuzu right now, because I tried there first, and all I got was agents that knew somebody in Japan, and it seems the Trooper crowd has been waiting for certain parts for a long time. Won't hurt to try though, at least they've got em listed.

Grest Site,
Just checked it out and it looks better than what i have which is a Isuzu replacement. Mine looks like a whole dash, and you cut out the places like the glove compartment, and gauges. Got no instructions with it though so I'll be wingin it. Maybe somebody here on the site knows how to put one in.

I just ordered one from Jc through their regular mail order catalog and they were on sale and they had a discount coupon on the back of the catalog. Payed more than $60 though. Oh well.

If your dash is so beat up that you need to cut out the bad sections, use thin sheets of cork to use as filler material to buid up the surface so the dash will fit smoothly. Thats what i did and it's holding up well after a year so far. You can find sheets of cork at Hobby Lobby. I used 2 layers of cork with contact cement to hold them in place and then installed the dash top using the adhesive that was supplied with the new top.

My dash has a crack through the middle on the top also part of it is peeling away a little from the firewall. I was thinking of cutting out the top peice and putting that sheets of cork and then puting th cap ontop.
(Also may repaint firewall...can see a lil surface rust)
