I got them at a yard sale for $20 and a few of my friends hooked them up for me. If you get them new just the horns are about $83 each then you need all the stuff to get them working. these are real loud. I'm glad you all like SPOOF thanks I put a lot of work in her. for those of you who don't know I named her Spoof because I painted her with a spoof can.

spray paint is the only way to go. My luv is painted whith gloss black, and interestingly enough that black i use matches the factory paint :lol:

THAT TRUCK IS SICK!!!!!!! DO YOU HAVE THE STOCK GREARING? HOW DOES IT PULL THE TIRES? SO ALL YOU DID WAS TIGHTEN THE TORSION BARS BUILT SHACKLES AND BOUGHT TIRES? HOW LONG ARE THE SHACKLES?? I HOPE MY TRUCK LOOKS LIKE YOURS SOMEDAY !!! AWESOME TRUCK!!!

it had a 3" body lift when I bought it. I have added the roll bars, lift the front bumper, added the back bumper redid the inside, patched a hole in the side, added the hornes, added the tow toung to the front for mud bogging, IF I ever get stuck. cut some metal off the front frame so the tires didn't rub, because they rubbed when I got it. painted it and a little touch up to the motor. thats all I have done so far, I have a LOT more to do before I race in my first tough trucks in April. I will be doing work to the motor and I will be adding KC lights, I also need to ad new springs, but i'm going to add a suspension lift. so much work so little time.

YOUR TRUCK IS AWESOME!!! HOW DID YOU GET THOSE TIRES ON THERE? JUST TORSION BARS SHACKLES AND A 3" BODY LIFT? HOW LONG ARE THE SHACKLES? AND HOW DOES IT PULL THOSE TIRES? I AM WANTIN TO DO THAT TO MINE BUT I DONT THINK I CAN PUT TIRES THAT BIG ON MINE! NICE TRUCK!!!!! I WOULD APPRICIATE ANY ANSWERS YOU CAN GIVE ME!

JUST TORSION BARS SHACKLES AND A 3" BODY LIFT WITH A LITTLE CUTTING HERE AND THERE. THE SHACKLES ARE 10", I'M THINKING ABOUT CHANGING THINGS A BIT THOUGH. IT PULLS THE TRUCK FINE BUT ALWAYS LOOKING FOR MORE POWER.

mepr got it. If it's not one thing its another. I got the header yesterday and couldn't wait till next week to put it in. I need my truck for this fri. well I was in the shop all night trying to get the old one out. I finally did it but I had to move the alternator and that was it...
I have to fab the alternator because it doesn't line up right and there is no room to adjust then I noticed that the bottom hose on my radiator needs replacing. like last year. I stopped for the night.
I do have a question though. on the original header for the luv there is a pipe that comes out the back and raps around the back of the motor and goes down under the carb where the hell does it go. I was just going to plug it up. should I do this. I will go out and see if I can find where it goes without taking EVERYTHING apart. I'll be back later.... I hope.

That pipe goes around from the exhaust to the EGR valve. Plug the exhaust side and take off the EGR valve. Chuck the pipe and fabricate a plate to cover and bolt down over the opening left on the underside of the intake manifold. Might even run better. Did on my street LUV.

I have to do this all without a book because the one I have for the luv tells me to go to chapter 13 and there is no chapter 13 no matter what I need to know it tells me to go there and there is no there :?
and my comment for the week is nap_ sucks! the one near my house doesn't carry any parts for my luv.

Forgot to mention that you can cut off the male fitting with about 3 inches of pipe and weld it shut for a plug if you can't find a plug with the right size threads.

I went through about 24 cans of paint and it cost me around $68 for the paint and then I had to get tape and paper
