I'm sure it can be done, but having just looked in my engine bay today, I can't picture it without somehow bending space and time. Though a 472 Cad has enough mass it probably does bend space and time around it....

would the frame handle the torque, or will it twist? and would i have to change the rear end? how much torque will it take?

The LUV frame is fully boxed and much stronger than you'd expect on a small truck. Some extra armor wouldn't hurt I'm sure. The rear would not last long under that kind of strain. I would be thinking 9 inch, rear but I guess it depends on the kind of HP that 472 would be putting out. I've seen more than one small block chev powered LUV still rolling on the stock rear, but I've seen more than one broken stock rear as well.
