I am pretty sure that 72-80 will interchange, but not absolutely positive. 76 and 77 are basically the exact same truck so those would be your best bets. 81-82 LUVs and 83+ PUPs have the take on the opposite side so they'd be much less likely to fit, but its possible they used the same take just mounted flipped 180 degrees.

I have a gas tank from a 1979 LUV collecting dust. Don't know what shipping would cost, but if it fits and you need it, just pay the shipping. I live in Las Vegas.

How in the heck does a gas tank corrode from the inside when it is a ppetroleum product that's in it with a high viscosity?> That is nearly like saying that the oil pan rusted from the inside out!

That is what one of the ijiots at the fast-a-roonie oil change places told me. My oil pan plug rusted in my oil pan.

Went home threw a 5/8 rachet on it and amazingly, it came right off.

Got to be condensation in the gas tank, cheap gas from am-pm 80% fuel 20%H20. As far as the oil pan who knows. I was told you can put a bunch of marbles in your tank, shake the heck out of it. Never have tried it but, thats supposed to help anyway.
