on my 76 to take stock steering wheel off all i did was pull the piece off that you push down for hord to work, then took 3 screws out, then the nut, then wiggled it around and it came off. are you going to be puttin on a grant steering wheel? we just got done puttin one on, if you are havin trouble findin a installation kit pm me or somehitng and ill tell ya the one we got, i dont know what one it is now, but i can find out i got the reciecpt somewhere.

this is what i was told:

Grant P/N 4164 is the adapter kit to match the Grant steering wheel to the Luv truck. Take a look at the BB / Stock trucks / Steering wheels topic.

P/N= part number

thanks guys, but i found it was going to be cheaper just to get a mikado steering wheel. i just wanted something other than the HUGE stock wheel in my luv. i have no leg room now that i have buckets in the truck. steering wheel rubs on my legs.

what did the "mikado" mean on some luvs, other than a steering wheel and a nifty paint job?

if you spend the money on a grant steering wheel, you will have even more leg room. I wouldn't be able to drive mine with the mikado wheel.

ya same here i have to buy a grant wheel. other wise no leg room.
i have a mikido and i didnt know they were any thing difrent.
