so the piece on the front of my driveshaft going into the tranny is like pretty much shot...its chipping into pieces around the ujoints. Well I need a different one and parts stores do not supply these. My question is, does anybody know if they are different between years and 2x4 4x4? Mine is 79 4x4 and I need a different one.

the 4x4 slpi yoke is a finer spline than the 2wd. SO youll need a 4x4 slip yoke, and i would probly stick as close to your own year as i could. I dont know if they changed whith body styles.
