I have a 2003 Chevy S-10 that has about 2000 miles on it. It has about one extra mile on it from being thrown around in an Oklahoma tornado last May. Dropped full coverage on it week before. Long story. Anyways, the 2.2L motor and 5 speed tranny are still good. The rest of the truck is trashed. I have searched the entire country for an S-10 that needs a motor and can't find one anywhere! Would this motor and tranny bolt in, or would I have to make mounts to fit it in a Luv? I doubt many people do this. I just want something to put it in! Thanks for any info! Matt

You can put it in, but you will likely have to put in some motor brackets, or you will have to make some or cut some off a frame in the boneyard. A few other modifications and bingo, you should be in. The tranny may not fit, so you might have to do some cut and fit stuff to make it fit in.

shouldn't be too much work. i think the biggest challenge would be gutting out the necessary parts of the s10 harness and transplanting it into the luv so the efi can work
